Automakers to receive ₹4,000 cr under Centre's PLI scheme: Report

The Centre is expected to disburse around ₹4,000 crore this fiscal year under its production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for automobile and auto component makers, The Economic Times reported. Companies qualifying through higher FY26 sales will receive the incentives. Bajaj Auto was the first to receive a payout this fiscal, getting about ₹750 crore.
