Automobile sales jump 10.4% YoY to 28.27 mn units in FY26: Report

The automobile industry recorded its highest annual sales in FY26, rising 10.4% YoY to 28.27 million units, driven by a strong recovery in the second half, Financial Express reported, citing Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers' (SIAM) data. Passenger vehicle sales grew 7.9% to 4.64 million units in FY26. Additionally, two-wheeler sales increased 19.3% to 1.98 million units.
