Autonomous vehicle with detachable steering wheel unveiled by China's Baidu

China's search engine giant Baidu on Thursday unveiled its new autonomous vehicle (AV) with a detachable steering wheel, with plans to put it to use for its robotaxi service in China next year. The new AV won't need human intervention and will have eight lidars and 12 cameras alongside it. The AV's price will also drop to about 2,50,000 yuan.
