Autonomy's Mike Lynch acquitted of fraud in $11-billion HP deal

Autonomy's British Co-founder Mike Lynch, once compared with Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, has been cleared of all fraud charges in a US trial related to HP's $11 billion acquisition of his firm. Hewlett Packard had accused Lynch of fraudulently inflating Autonomy's revenue before the sale in 2011. HP wrote down Autonomy's value by $8.8 billion within a year.
