Autorickshaw, taxi fares to rise by ₹3 in Mumbai from February 1

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Transport Authority (MMRTA) has approved a hike of ₹3 in the basic fare of autorickshaws and black-and-yellow taxis from February 1 in Mumbai, PTI reported citing officials. The new basic fare (first 1.5 km) for autorickshaws will be ₹26 instead of ₹23, while it will rise to ₹31 from ₹28 for black-and-yellow taxis.
