'Avatar: The Way of Water' earns over ₹40 cr on opening day in India

James Cameron's 'Avatar: The Way of Water' collected over ₹40 crore on its opening day in India. It has beaten 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' and 'Avengers: Infinity War' which earned ₹32.6 crore and ₹31.3 crore respectively on the first day in India. However, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' could not surpass the collection of 'Avengers: Endgame', which earned ₹53.10 crore.
