Avishka Fernando smashes fastest fifty in ILT20 history

Sri Lanka's Avishka Fernando, on Friday, smashed the fastest fifty in ILT20 history, getting to the landmark off just 16 balls. Fernando, representing Sharjah Warriors against Dubai Capitals, broke the previous record held by Pakistan's Azam Khan, who had scored an 18-ball fifty against Gulf Giants in 2024. Fernando finished with 81 off 27 balls, hitting 8 sixes overall.
