Award Bharat Ratna to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee: BJP MP to PM Modi

In a letter to PM Narendra Modi, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harnath Singh Yadav requested him to award Bharat Ratna to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which later became BJP. "By accepting all challenges...Mukherjee hoisted the tricolour as a symbol of the country's pride...in Srinagar," Yadav said. Today is Dr Mukherjee's death anniversary.
