Rapper-actress Awkwafina has apologised amid the 'Blaccent' controversy saying, "To mock, belittle or to be unkind...at the expense of others is simply not my nature." She also said that she is retiring from Twitter. 'Blaccent' is a term which refers to non-Black individuals adopting a Black voice. Awkwafina was criticised for her 'Blaccent' in 'Crazy Rich Asians' and 'Ocean's 8'.
