AWS reports outage as UAE data centre struck amid Middle East war

Amazon’s cloud computing facilities in the Middle East faced connectivity and power issues on Monday after unidentified 'objects' struck its data centre in the UAE, triggering a fire. According to AWS's service health page, the company anticipates a recovery period of at least one day. It is asking customers to rely ​on its services ​in other regions in the meantime.
