AWS says AI-generated code 'slows you down', months after Amazon fired 30,000 to invest in AI

Amazon Web Services (AWS) said AI-generated code doesn't make teams faster but "might actually slow you down", months after Amazon fired 30,000 employees to focus more on investing in AI. "The real bottleneck was never writing code. It's releasing it, debugging...and keeping it running well," AWS said. "The dev who [posted] this has an HR meeting," a user joked.
