Axis Bank denies plans to bid for stake in CreditAccess Grameen

Axis Bank has shut down speculations about a stake purchase in microfinance lender CreditAccess Grameen, which is worth ₹20,700 crore. "The bank has neither submitted nor is planning to submit any bid for a stake in CreditAccess Grameen," the bank said. Earlier this month, media reports had claimed that the bank was planning to buy 100% stake in CreditAccess Grameen.
