Axis Bank ordered to pay ₹10,000 for failed ₹5,000 ATM transaction
A Nagpur consumer disputes redressal commission directed Axis Bank to pay a compensation of ₹10,000 to a customer over a failed ATM transaction that was carried out in 2018. The customer claimed ₹5,000 was debited from his account, while the ATM failed to disburse cash. The commission found that the bank didn't take the complaint "seriously", calling it "false".
