Axis Bank to acquire Citi's consumer business by March 1

Axis Bank's acquisition of Citibank's consumer business will be completed by March 1, which will initiate rebranding of Citi branches with the Axis logo. As part of the rebranding, Citibank removed the signboard from Kanak building office in Kolkata, where it began its India operations. In April 2021, Citi said it would exit consumer operations in 13 countries, including India.
