Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is being illuminated ahead of Diwali, with streets, lanes and gates decorated with lights for the festival. The city, which is associated with Lord Ram, is preparing for the celebrations and Deepotsav Mahotsav. The Ram Janmabhoomi temple has also been decorated with lights, lamps and flowers as part of the festivities.
