Ayodhya sets Guinness World Record as nearly 16 lakh diyas lit, pics released

The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday shared pictures as 15.76 lakh lamps were lit in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "World record re-established...Ayodhya entered the Guinness Book of World Records," said a UP Tourism Twitter page. PM Modi launched the Deepotsav celebrations on the banks of the river Sarayu on Sunday.
