Ayush Shetty beats world no. 1 Vitidsarn to reach Badminton Asia C'ships final

Indian shuttler Ayush Shetty defeated world number one and Paris Olympics 2024 silver medallist Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the men's singles semi-final of the Badminton Asia Championships 2026 on Saturday. The 20-year-old, who is ranked 25th, beat Thailand's Vitidsarn 10-21, 21-19, 21-17 in an hour and 15 minutes. Notably, Shetty had beaten world number four Jonatan Christie in the quarter-finals.
