Ayyappa Samithi slams 'Irumudi' for portraying devotees as 'alcoholics'

The Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Deeksha Prachara Samithi objected to scenes in the Ravi Teja-starrer 'Irumudi', alleging that it portrays Lord Ayyappa's devotees as "alcoholics". The Samithi stated that devotees maintain strict discipline year-round, not just during the Deeksha period. The organisation demanded the removal of such scenes and asked the makers to visit Sabarimala and seek forgiveness.
