Azmet Jah named as head of Asaf Jahi Dynasty & titular 9th Nizam of Hyd

Mir Mohammed Azmat Ali Khan Azmet Jah, 63, was declared as the titular ninth Nizam of Hyderabad and head of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty for "all symbolic, ceremonial, titular and ancillary purposes" on Friday. Chowmahalla Palace issued a declaration for the same. He is the eldest son of Mukarram Jah, the eighth titular Nizam who died this month in Turkey.
