B'desh envoy remembers late singer Zubeen Garg during I-Day event

Speaking at Bangladesh’s 56th Independence Day celebrations in New Delhi, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to India M Riaz Hamidullah, remembered late singer Zubeen Garg. "He (Zubeen) promised me that he would be on this stage to render the national anthems of Bangladesh & India...Much to the regret of millions, he left us," he said. Garg died in September 2025 in Singapore.
