B'desh interim govt bans ousted ex-PM Sheikh Hasina's Awami League

Bangladesh’s interim government, led by Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, has banned the ousted former PM Sheikh Hasina's political party, the Awami League. The ban under the country's anti-terrorism law would remain in force until the completion of the "trial of the Awami League and its leaders in Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal", a statement by the government said.
