B'desh says it'll implement China-backed Teesta Plan near Chicken's Neck 'at any cost'
Bangladesh PM Tarique Rahman, after returning from China, declared that his country would be implementing the Teesta Master Plan "at any cost". The project, which Bangladesh says would help in river management, flood control and irrigation, lies very close to India's 22-km-wide Siliguri Corridor, aka Chicken's Neck. China backed the project, saying the "cooperation doesn't target any third party".
