B'luru techie loses ₹1.5 lakh after falling for AI dating profile

A 22-year-old software engineer from Bengaluru was cheated out of ₹1.5 lakh after he fell victim to an AI-generated profile on a dating app. As per reports, the match named 'Ishani' secretly recorded the techie and then extorted money by blackmailing him with calls and texts. The fraudster threatened to release the explicit video to his family and friends.
