Baba Ram Dass, who promoted psychedelic drugs in 1960s, dies aged 88 in US
Baba Ram Dass, a spiritual leader who in the 1960s promoted psychedelic drugs as the path to inner enlightenment, has died at his home in US' Hawaii at the age of 88. Dass, who began teaching and researching psychology at Harvard in 1958, was fired from the university after he gave LSD to an undergraduate student.
