Babar fastest Pak batsman to score 1,000 ODI runs in a year

Babar Azam surpassed the likes of Javed Miandad and Misbah-ul-Haq to become the fastest Pakistani player to score 1,000 runs in a calendar year. Babar reached the milestone after reaching the 54-run mark in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka at the National Stadium in Karachi. Babar took 19 innings to reach the 1,000-run mark in a calendar year.
