Babri Masjid demolition in 1992 was violation of law: Supreme Court

Pronouncing the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case, the Supreme Court said that the 1992 demolition of the Babri Masjid mosque was a violation of law. Meanwhile, in its verdict, the apex court has ordered that an alternate five-acre land must be given to Muslims, while a temple should be built on the disputed site.
