Billionaire Elon Musk reacted to Australian government's proposal to ban social media for teenagers aged below 16 years, calling it a "backdoor way to control internet access by all Australians". The controversial bill, introduced to parliament on Thursday, also proposes fines of up to AUD 49.5 million ($32 million) for social media companies found in systemic violation of the law.
