Bacterial imbalance in men's semen linked to higher pregnancy-loss risk: Study

A study published in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women's Health has linked an imbalance in bacteria in men's semen with higher pregnancy-loss risk and lower live-birth rates. Among IVF couples, 57% with seminal dysbiosis had a live birth, compared with 85% without it. Researchers said more trials are needed before semen-microbiome testing or treatments are recommended routinely.
