Two teenage girls from Badaun, whose death caused nation-wide furor when their corpses were discovered hanging from a tree, had committed suicide, the CBI confirmed on Thursday morning. The autopsy had indicated that the girls were raped, and it was thought earlier that they were murdered. However, the CBI has conclusively ruled out both rape and murder.
