Badlapur case accused buried amid protests in Maharashtra's Thane

The body of Akshay Shinde, the accused in Badlapur sexual assault case, was buried at the Shantinagar crematorium in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra's Thane district, officials said. The burial took place around 6 pm under heavy police security. Some local residents and groups had protested against the burial, as per reports. Shinde, 24, was shot dead in an encounter on September 23.
