Bai Hirabai Trust to amend clauses that allow only Zoroastrians to be trustees

The Bai Hirabai Jamsetji Tata Navsari Charitable Institution has decided to adopt proceedings before the appropriate authority to amend restrictive clauses, including the prohibition on non-Zoroastrians from being trustees, in its eligibility criteria for being a trustee, Tata Trusts said. This comes days after Mehli Mistry opposed the appointments of Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh to its board.
