Bakhtawar Singh Brar, one of Indian Army's oldest veterans, dies at 109

Major Bakhtawar Singh Brar (retd), one of the oldest veterans of the Indian Army, died aged 109 in the United States. Born in 1913 in undivided Punjab, Major Brar (retd) was commissioned into the 6 Kumaon Regiment in 1945. After retiring in the 1960s, he settled in Madhya Pradesh. He moved to the US in 1981 and became a farmer.
