Balasaheb Thackeray's sister passes away at 84 in Pune

Sanjeevani Karandikar, the younger sister of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray, passed away at the age of 84 in Pune on Friday. "With her demise, the Thackeray family has lost a motherly figure. We deeply mourn her loss," Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said. Karandikar's last rites were held at the Vaikunth Crematorium in the city.
