Ballon d'Or 2023: Do players receive prize money for award?

The 2023 Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place in Paris later tonight (October 30). Lionel Messi is the favorite for the award, with Erling Haaland also in contention. The Ballon d'Or is the highest individual achievement in football, but according to Sport Bible, it doesn't come with any prize money. Players only receive money if they have special contract clauses.
