Bamboo could be a superfood: Study

A study by Anglia Ruskin University has found that bamboo could be a superfood. The study found that bamboo has several health benefits, including helping control blood sugar, fighting inflammation, improving gut health and acting as an antioxidant. The research suggested bamboo shoots could help improve metabolic health. However, bamboo must be pre-boiled to avoid natural toxins, the study added.
