Banaras tabla and chilli get Geographical Indication certification

Traditional treasures from Varanasi, including the Banarasi Tabla, Bharwan Mirch, Shehnai, and Lal Peda, have received GI certification. This move underlines Kashi’s status as a GI hub with 32 registered products. These tags protect authenticity, support artisans, and elevate local crafts to global platforms, thanks to the ODOP initiative.
