Bangkok reels under floods after a month’s rain falls in just 2-3 days

About 6,000 people in Bangkok evacuated their homes and moved to safe shelters following flooding caused by heavy rains. People were seen wading through waist-high water after nearly 12.6 inches of rain fell over two or three days last week. This is as much rain as Bangkok receives throughout September. The floods could cause economic damage of about ₹3,143 crore.
