Bangladesh dengue death toll rises to 107 amid surge

Bangladesh reported five more dengue deaths, taking this year's toll to 107, while 1,110 new patients were hospitalised in 24 hours. August saw 43 deaths and 20,536 hospitalisations, the third-highest monthly figures since 2000. Experts warned that cases may rise through October and urged stronger mosquito control and early treatment.
