Bangladesh home minister to skip BIMSTEC meeting in Delhi

Bangladesh's Home Minister will skip the first-ever meeting of BIMSTEC home ministers in Delhi. This comes after Bangladesh's PM Tarique Rahman also skipped the BRICS summit’s outreach session in New Delhi last month. A Bangladeshi minister said the “principal challenge” to Rahman’s India visit was the activities of deposed premier Sheikh Hasina and her team, who are based in India.
