Bangladesh-linked terror module busted in Assam, 11 arrested
Assam Police has busted a terror module and arrested 11 individuals linked to a Bangladesh-based extremist outfit, Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK). "Their main aim was to destabilise Assam and the rest of the Northeast. They wanted to establish 'Muslim supremacy'," Guwahati's Police Commissioner PS Mahanta said. The IMK is an offshoot of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, which is banned in India.
