Bangladesh plans fountains instead of sculptures at Pak surrender site

Bangladesh's Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has proposed replacing planned sculptures at two historic sites in Dhaka's Suhrawardy Udyan with water fountains. The sites are linked to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's March 7, 1971 speech and the December 16 surrender of Pakistani forces. The proposal also seeks changes to the planned holographic 3D presentation of Mujibur's speech.
