Bangladesh to impose 'hard' nationwide lockdown from June 28

Bangladesh has said that it would impose a "hard" nationwide lockdown from June 28 for seven days amid rising COVID-19 cases. All private and government offices, except for emergency services, will remain shut during the seven-day lockdown, the country's Information Ministry said. The daily infection rate in Bangladesh has risen to 21.22%, up from 15% a week ago.
