Bangladesh urges UN to declare March 25 as 'World Genocide Day'

Bangladesh has demanded the United Nations (UN) to declare March 25 as the 'World Genocide Day'. "[On March 25] in 1971, Pakistan army...killed 1000s of people, and within the next nine months, they killed nine million people in Bangladesh," Deputy High Commissioner Andalib Elias said. Further, an organisation has demanded trial against Pakistan's army for its involvement in the genocide.
