Bangladesh's ex-PM Khaleda Zia to be released from jail for 6 months

Bangladesh's ex-PM and leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Khaleda Zia will be released from jail for six months, the country's Law Minister Anisul Huq said. "We have decided to release her on humanitarian grounds as per the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he added. Khaleda's health has been deteriorating and she was shifted to a hospital last year.
