Bangladesh's senior defence secretary passes away due to COVID-19

Bangladesh's Senior Defence Secretary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, who had tested positive for COVID-19, passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest, Md Bhasani Mirza, administrative officer at the Defence Ministry, said. Chowdhury was shifted to the ICU on June 18 after his condition deteriorated, Bhasani added. Chowdhury had joined the Ministry of Defence in January.
