Bank issues clarification after man brings sister's skeleton to branch to withdraw ₹20,000

Indian Overseas Bank issued a clarification after a man, Jitu Munda, went to their sponsored Odisha Grameen Bank branch carrying the skeleton of his sister to prove her death and withdraw ₹20,000. It said Munda was drunk and became disruptive when told that death certificate is mandatory to withdraw money. We are coordinating for issuance of the certificate, it added.
