Bank of Baroda employee steals ₹29.5 lakh from 18 deposits, arrested

A Bank of Baroda official named Niket Kumar has been arrested for allegedly stealing ₹29.5 lakh from customers' 18 fixed and recurring deposits at Colaba branch of the bank in Mumbai. Kumar transferred the amount to his friend's account between 2015-17. The embezzlement was discovered when a customer claimed his fixed deposit and found the amount was missing.
