Bank of Baroda Q1 net profit jumps 88.7% to ₹4,070 crore

Bank of Baroda recorded net profit of ₹4,070 crore for the April-June 2023 quarter, an 88.7% year-on-year increase. The state-owned bank had reported ₹2,168 crore profit in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The latest net profit was lower than analysts' estimate of ₹4,631.7 crore, CNBC-TV18 reported. Meanwhile, the net interest income grew by 24% year-on-year to ₹10,997 crore in Q1.
