Bank of Baroda to increase minimum balance limit by 100%

State-run Bank of Baroda (BoB) has said it will double the minimum quarterly average balance limit for savings accounts in its metro and urban branches from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. The minimum balance for semi-urban branches will be increased from ₹500 to ₹1,000 while there is no change for such accounts in rural branches. The changes will be effective February 1.
