Banks, financial depts spent more on Hindi, English ads: Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that between 2014-2017, majority of the banks, financial institutions and departments that come under his ministry spent more on advertisements in Hindi, followed by English and regional languages respectively. All entities also spent a certain amount on "promotion of Hindi". SBI spent ₹427.87 crore on Hindi ads, while it spent ₹131.37 crore on regional ads.
